Membership Update: January 2021

Well, 2021 is off to a bit of a rocky start here in Ontario with surging COVID-19 cases in the Province and a new Stay at Home Order taking effect January 14th 2021. The CUPE 503 Executive wanted to take a moment and thank each and every one of our members for your contributions to our communities over the last year. Living and working during the COVID-19 pandemic has been very difficult. The added pressures each and every day are overwhelming at times, however your contributions do not go unnoticed. We thank you for your commitment to helping our communities run and we continue to work on behalf of our members to ensure workplaces and protocols maintain the health and safety of our membership.

CUPE 503 Office Operations

Our 503 Office Operations continue with staff working from home during this period of climbing cases in the National Capital Region. Staff are available to provide services to members seamlessly and can be reached by calling our general office number at 613-230-2456 or you can email [email protected]. If you require a Shop Steward for representation meetings please contact Heather at our office and she can connect you with a steward. With the new 28-day Stay at Home Order the Officers have determined the essential tasks to take place in the office and will be coming in on a rotational basis to take care of those tasks.

CUPE 503 Website & Membership Emails

We will continue to use the website for monthly membership updates on bargaining and office operations. As COVID-19 continues building our membership email reach is a key priority and we encourage all members to provide their PERSONAL email to Heather at [email protected]. This will ensure timely communications and also ensure our office operations are in compliance with public health recommendations and the new Stay at Home Order.
