CUPE Ontario CACO Lobby Day May 3 2017

CUPE 503 paramedic members with their colleagues from other CUPE & OPSEU Locals participated in a MPP Lobby Day at Queen’s Park in Toronto. Issues brought forward include the need for increased funding for paramedic services, communications centers, community paramedicine programs, and recognition of the services and skills they provide when someone calls 9-1-1 for a medical emergency. This joint CUPE Ontario/OPSEU Video has been released as an educational tool to explain the issues of increased call volume and funding that is not keeping up with the demand for these valuable services in our communities.
