Bargaining Updates:

Ottawa Community Housing:

On Wednesday, March 9th the bargaining team was able to reach a tentative agreement with Ottawa Community Housing. 2 Zoom sessions for OCH members were held on Wednesday, April 13th between 12-2pm and 6-8pm. The deadline for ballots to be returned to the Local will be 12 noon on Tuesday, April 26th 2022.

City of Ottawa Part-time Recreation & Culture:

The Union and the Employer continue negotiations and are working to confirm additional dates into April/May.

Sandfield Place Long Term Care: 

An Arbitration date has been scheduled for May 27th 2022.

Forest Hill Long Term Care:

The Arbitration Award was received on April 14th 2022 for a two-year Collective Agreement covering the period of May 2nd 2020 to May 1st 2022. The Award includes a 1.5% increase with retroactivity for both years and a $0.40 increase to both Shift/Weekend premiums. The Collective Agreement now expires May 1st 2022 and the Union is serving notice to bargain to the Employer this week. 

Champlain Ontario Health HCCSS (formally Champlain LHINS):

Prep dates with the Bargaining Team were held March 28th, 29th and April 8th. We do not yet have confirmed dates from the Employer for the Local Table.

General Membership Meeting: Tuesday, May 17th 2022 at 7pm. Stay tuned for the Location of the Meeting and Details about a Hybrid Option where members can join through Zoom.

All Members Telephone Town Hall: Wednesday, May 25th 7:00pm. Deadline for Registration Process will be announced the first week of May.

Other Updates:

The Local is running Shop Steward Training on April 20th, 21st and 22nd and has also started the recruitment process for an Advanced Shop Steward Training to be held June 13th and 14th 2022.
