Bargaining Updates:
CUPE 503 Members at the Ottawa Public Library:
Your CUPE 503 Ottawa Public Library Bargaining Team exchanged proposals with the Employer on Monday, February 24th 2025 and has had 4 additional days so far and have scheduled dates up to mid-June. A Bargaining Update and push to harvest additional personal email addresses for CUPE 503 OPL members will be coming out after the next couple of days at the bargaining table and we likely will be hosting a Hybrid Membership Engagement session to provide members with an update and discuss next steps at the bargaining table.
CUPE 503 Members at Ottawa Community Housing:
Your CUPE 503 Ottawa Community Housing Bargaining Team exchanged proposals at the bargaining table Monday, March 18th 2025. We have 5 additional dates scheduled to the end of April. We expect to connect with 503 OCH members around the mid-point of the scheduled dates to provide an update and to discuss next steps.
CUPE 503 Members in the City of Ottawa Inside/Outside Collective Agreement:
Your CUPE 503 City of Ottawa Inside/Outside Bargaining Team has exchanged proposals with the Employer on Wednesday, March 19th 2025. We have dates scheduled with the Employer through the end of May. Updates will be provided to members throughout the process and if necessary additional Hybrid Membership Engagement sessions will be held.
CUPE 503 City of Ottawa Part-time Recreation & Culture and Summer Aquatics Members:
Your CUPE 503 Bargaining Team has confirmed exchange of proposals dates with the Employer for both these Collective Agreements on April 23rd, 2025. We will be hosting a Hybrid Review of Proposals Meeting on Wednesday, April 16th from 6:00-7:30pm for 503 Part-time Recreation and Culture members and from 7:30 to 8:30pm for 503 members who are in the Summer Aquatics Collective Agreement. To reach the maximum number of members in these two Collective Agreements we will be completing a Canada Post mailing to home addresses with all the information on how to join the meeting and receive regular updates for CUPE 503.
CUPE 503 Members at Forest Hill Long Term Care Bargaining Update:
Our next Hybrid Member Engagement Session to discuss our bargaining proposals will be Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 1:30pm to 5:00pm at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Kanata and on Zoom. We have sent the details on how to join this meeting on Zoom to members who we have personal email addresses for. We have confirmed bargaining dates with the Employer for March 26th and 27th 2025.
Embassy West Retirement Residence:
On April 24th 2024 the CUPE 503 Bargaining Team met with the provincially-appointed Conciliator and the Employer and bargaining reached an impasse. The outstanding matters for the new collective agreement will be referred to Interest Arbitration. The Parties have come to an agreement on the selection of an Arbitrator and the parties will meet July 10th 2025.

Our CUPE 503 Annual Golf Tournament has been confirmed for Thursday, August 14th with a shotgun start at 1pm at Manderley on the Green. More details to come.
