Restructuring of Land Ambulance System

The Ontario government is planning a disruptive, large-scale restructuring of the land ambulance system. Leaked reports suggest privatization is on the agenda.

No one asked for this.

Ontarians already face ambulance shortages in many communities. We need new investment to meet growing demand-not cuts.

We need ambulances to be there when you need them. We don’t need fewer paramedics spread out over larger territories. And we definitely don’t need private companies profiting off a system that’s supposed to be available and accessible to all.

CUPE represents almost 8000 paramedic services workers in Ontario.
