Well Summer is in full swing and we wanted to provide an update for this month a little early this month.
City of Ottawa Inside/Outside Collective Agreement
After many exchanges between the Employer and the Union we now have a Final Draft of the Collective Agreement for January 1st 2020 to December 31st 2024. This version is heading off to translation and then will be signed. We have posted the Final Draft on the website at www.cupe503.com. Once the final version is signed copies will be printed and available to the membership.
Ottawa Public Library
The lead negotiator for the Union completed the first draft of the OPL Collective Agreement and it is now in the Employer’s hands. In the interim the Union did create a Reference Document for OPL Members. It is not the full Collective Agreement but rather the Articles that were amended in this round of negotiations. CUPE 503 Golf Tournament
On Monday, July 18th at 9am registration will open for CUPE 503 Golf Tournament that will be held Thursday, August 18th with a shotgun start at 1pm at Manderley on the Green. Members can register their foursome at the CUPE 503 Office at 1505 Carling Ave. To protect our staff, Masks are required in the Office. Cash Payment of $260.00 (4 members x $65.00) will be accepted. Please bring exact change. The registration fee covers Golf, Carts and a Roast Beef Dinner.
CUPE 503 Paramedic Service Members Meeting
On Thursday, August 4th at 7pm the CUPE 503 Executive Board and Shop Stewards will host a Paramedic Service Members Hybrid Meeting. Members can join in-person at 1505 Carling Ave, Masks are strongly recommended for in-person attendees. Members can also join by Zoom and can request the Zoom registration link by emailing [email protected]. Agenda Items include: Report back on next steps of June 2022 Paramedic Service Members Survey, Report on the member-led Meal Break Study and Q&A Session, and Update on the City of Ottawa Access to Information & Privacy Office request. Hard copy flyers are in the mail to our Shop Stewards in the Service to post in the workplace and bases.
