Update on CUPE 503 Executive Elections 30 March 2020

Dear CUPE 503 members, 

In light of the COVID-19 situation, Ottawa Public Health’s recommendation of social distancing and the current state of emergency within the City of Ottawa, CUPE 503 has sought the direction from the CUPE National President’s office on how to proceed with the upcoming Election of the Local Officers for the Executive Board, Executive Council and Trustees. Please find attached a notice from the Chief Electoral Officer on the approved change of process for nominations to be received and the Revised Election Notice to reflect these changes, as well as the Nomination form and Election Procedures. Nominations may be submitted in one of the following ways:

  1. VIA EMAIL: directly to the Chief Electoral Officer at areilly@cupe.ca
  2. VIA REGULAR MAIL: nomination forms should be mailed to the attention of: Allison Reilly, CUPE National Representative, Ottawa Area Office, 1378 Triole St., Ottawa, ON K1B 3M4

Nomination forms MUST be received no later than 4:00pm Thursday April 9, 2020. Nomination forms received after this date WILL NOT be accepted, therefore it is imperative that should you wish to submit your form by regular mail that you do so as soon as possible.
